Searching in the Graphic Design Book Extreme Design 2 I came across this picture labeled as "Iron and Paper," still not sure what for. But somehow I was sill attracted to this picture because it can symbolize many things. I think it looks like a stationary bird, or skeleton of one.

Going through CD art I came across this poster to promote the band, and their logo, Avenged Sevenfold. This reminds me of 80's style rock and roll, and I thought this was a simple piece of art done really well.

I was searching for ideas for a poster design, and I came across this one. To me it just seems like a cartoon being altered as if someone was on acid. I love the visual elements, the texture, and color. This is a really vivid image, with bold choices. Great work whoever did it.

I've had this CD as long as I can remember. And it's the only one of very few that stick out in my mind. I don't know if it's because I don't think there are many like it, or what. But the images, colors, and typeface is fantastic. Just a great cd art cover from SP.

This image was from the book Graphic Design Extreme 1. When I saw this image I couldn't quite figure out what it was for. I don't think I still know, but visually it's great. The artist who made this design said at first he hated this piece, but grew to love it. I think the type is great.

This image is a great piece. I love the elements, I love the typeface on the wall and even the direction of how they face. Interesting how much readability it still has even on the wall. Visually it's unique that they have a crowd of "cut-outs" and breakdancers...

This was from the book Searching For the Perfect Design and it was from 1996 promoting the city of Philly. I thought this was a very interesting design considering how much color is involved. The background looks great, and the elements compliment eachother well.

I had a friend in highschool who always use to D.J. and he would try and promote himself. And I he always gave out these really high glossy postcards with all of this "junk" on it. It was hard to stay focused on one thing. So many different things visually going on in the graphic, that I thought I would put one up to share. Interesting how much stuff they can cram in one area.

This logo is bright. I can't remember what book I got this from but I believe it was from the Logos that work edition of Graphic Design. I was just attracted to the shape and color of this piece. I'm not sure what company it is for, but it seems it could fit in ...well several places. It's clean yet unique enought to catch the viewers eye, like mine.

Another band that became popular with rock and roll. The visual elements are really attractive against the green and yellow gradient. I think the images work great together, and it reminds me of old horrow films when they used to have giant creatures attack. Good stuff. This was out of the book Extreme Design 2.

First off, two great bands are headlining here. The visual image caught my eye with they starburst of reds and oranges. The LIVE really pops out from that black. Very interesting design, great work. This was out of the book Extreme Design.

I got this image out of the book Searching For the Perfect Beat and these images came from two posters in 1993. These promotions really caught my eye. I love the visual are, the layout, and the colors that were used. I was reading that post of this art was hand drawn. Great stuff.

This image I grabbed from the Design book "Makeovers" How to redesign for maximum impact. I thought this image had a feeling of energetic, warmth. It screams festival's and the red really pops. The type font I feel works great in the design as well. I almost makes me think of carnival, or the men who try to sell you a gimmick at a game(yano they wore those funny hats with red and white stripes)

Here is a book cover design from, well you can see where from, that I thought was exploding with information. How could you not want to pick up this book and wonder what the is inside. The images and text work well. Lots of visual elements and logo brands that make this book def stand out.

Here is a logo design and some products that a advertising & design company came up with called Whitney Stinger. Their slogan contains the word devilish which plays of this in its own logo. I think it is a very creative way to promote business, very eye catching. Its also from the the book The Big Book of Logos.

The was an image taken from the book Next: The New Generation in graphic Design. When I first saw this image the obvious caught my eye, and I thought it was a rather interesting picture. But as I took a closer look I was really attracted to type of font and they style it was in. I think the colors and picture work really great together. It reminds me of ...I dunno the 70s retro era. Looks good to me. Where's this kind of idea come from?

These poster images came from the book Next: The New Generation in Graphic Design. I really the first poster because if gives a really good feeling of a "surf style" and colors. The second poster was design for Monster Magnet, a quasi-scarey that has a stoner attitude, which is represented by a stoner teenage Frankenstein.(This stoner Frankenstein was created from stoner Matt Dillon in My Bodyguard.) The last poster is just a fun party poster with adapting art from a 1936 anti-drug propaganda movie Cocaine, The Thrill That Kills.

Here are a couple of images from the Graphic Design Annual 2007 edition. The bradford lawton design group were the ones responsible for the skeleton on the car. I thought this was a rather creative way to look at the human skeleton in a "medical" hospital kinda way. Considering its for StDavids medical Center. The G is for the company Gasworks. I liked how the G became transparent, reminds me of looking through glass. The image with the red and black target is from the Graphics annual 83/1984 edition. Very thought prevoking.
